- vcontrol is a self-service client portal for Proxmox VE hosting providers. It gives each client a scoped dashboard for the servers they rent — power actions, snapshots, backups, and firewall rules — while admins keep full control across every client from one console.
- Hosting providers running Proxmox VE who want to stop handling routine client requests (reboots, snapshots, firewall changes) manually, and the clients who rent servers from them.
- No. vcontrol talks only to the Proxmox VE REST API using a scoped API token. There is no agent, no node-level package, and no change to your cluster's configuration.
- vcontrol's own REST API currently powers its web portal only. A public, client-facing automation API (API keys) is on the roadmap but not built yet.
- Passwords are hashed with Argon2id, sessions support two-factor authentication, and every request is scoped so a client can never see or confirm the existence of another client's server. See the Security page for what's verified and what's still on the compliance roadmap.
- There is no public self-serve pricing or billing yet. Talk to us directly about your hosting business and cluster size.
